The Merced River is in the foreground providing that great reflection.I continue to play with HDR with this picture. I took 6 exposures each 1/3 EV apart. I then used Photomatix to combine them. I like this approach as opposed to carrying around the various filters that would be need to balance the exposure of the sky with the valley floor.

The color on El Capitan is from the sun just getting ready to disappear.I continue to play with HDR with this picture. I took 10 exposures each 1/3 EV apart. I then used Photomatix to combine them. I like this approach as opposed to carrying around the various filters that would be need to balance the exposure of the sky with the valley floor.
